Thinking of setting up a paludarium...

I've heard of people putting snakes in their paludariums (vivariums with water). Anyone know what species would work? I've heard of a rough green snake being used. However, I'd love to get a corn snake. Would they work as well?

Thanks!

Would be kind of pointless to use a cornsnake in a paludarium as I don't think it would swim much. Garter snakes are probably the best, make sure however that the land stays dry.

I have a Nerodia (rhombifer?) in a semi-aquatic setup. I hesitate to call it a paludarium because it isn't naturalistic -- but there is a lot of water with fish etc. in addition to plenty of dry land. I fully intend to set it up in a naturalistic enclosure when it is mature.

Cheers,
Dave
