This thread has nothing to do with disrespect, it had to do with me argueing my point, which by the way I didn't start this little thing in the first place, I made a simple comment about the Blondi and how I have read they require high humidity and Code came back and basically said I don't know what I am talking about. I felt I had to argue my point as he did. Nothing personal. Just my 00.02 I am not gonna just bow down and say o he must be right because he is experienced. Yes, I respect code because he made a valid point, I may not agree with it, but he made a valid one, and he is good for this hobby, the hobby that we are all here for. Just a little compitition and ego's. Mister Internet you are accusing me of something that has nothing to do with this. Peace

Free,

Settle down chief, you're going to give yourself an aneurysm.

All I'm saying is stop and smell the experience. You have had experienced hobbyists post actual quotes concerning this subject from VERY EXPERIENCED professionals in the field. So far, you have contributed: "Yeah, that's nice but I don't agree." All we're trying to tell you is don't think that you can read two caresheets on the internet and then take it to the bank. Most of the caresheets out there are copied from everyone else's and a lot of the time the people posting them have never kept the species in question.

Rain forest doesn't necessarily mean "sloppy, drippy wet". Most Americans have this distorted view of "tropical" and "rainforest" that makes them think the environment resembles a scene from Predator. CAN you keep a blondi or any other tropical/rainforest species in 95% humidity on sopping wet substrate? Sure, but have fun with the mold and mites. MUST you have 95% humidity and outrageously wet substrate? No. Myself and several other keepers are keeping several species on tropical centipedes on bone dry substrate with just a water dish that's overflowed a bit once or twice a week. They've all been doing just fine, and I guarantee you centipedes are 10 times more prone to dessication than T's.

Anyway, you can believe what you want... keep your blondi at 95%, it doesn't matter. The entire point of Code's posts were to get the point across that you don't HAVE to.

I understand what you are saying, but like I said, just because you think something doesn't mean I need to agree. My arguement has flaws and holes that don't make sense but so does your arguement. It has things that don't make sense. It has to do with I believe one thing and you believe something else, ur gonna give yourself a hernia trying to convince me. I feel privileged that you guys have gone outta your way to prove me wrong. lol. Maybe when I get more experienced I will change my opinion to yours, but as of right now I refuse to believe that I wasted 4 months of research, only for a guy to get on here and tell me it doesn't matter. Mister Internet thnx for the time I'm honored but, give it up, I'm done with this post. Peace.

No problem... if you interpreted what he was trying to say as "you wasted 4 months of your time doing research", then there's nothing really left to say to you. Nothing of the sort was meant, and no other area of husbandry was addressed, save for the one little point of humidity... you did learn about other things besides humidity in your 4 months of research, no?
