Did you breed that? I don't know if they are the same sp. but I remember growing up in western WA state finding blue ones all over the place.

cool beans

thanx for posting the radix pics gunslinger. I finally got my first radix this weekend in central Illinois. are you keeping those in captivity? nightcrawlers would be my first bet, but i hear radix is particularly fond of frogs and fish. Any tips?

The normal morph radix we just bring back to measure, weigh, and if its an unmarked individual, mark and get a tissue sample.

The melanistic we plan on holding onto until it sheds once, then releasing. For the most part we dont keep any snakes in the lab unless there is an ongoing project that makes it necessary.

I would think the nightcrawlers would work fine. They work fine on sirtalis, I'd assume radix too.
