I find these often around the house outside usually while raking leaves or other similar endeavors.

I happened to find a relatively large specimen and have decided to keep it a captive. It readily devours small crickets, small beetles, and of course woodlice. The latter two usually with the complimentary dry husks for leftovers.

The spider is kept in about 3/4" of dried out coconut core, for the most part stays burrowed enclosed in a very resilient and thick silk cocoon but often seen on the surface lurking around in the evenings when not overlyfed on small crickets.

Does anyone have anymore information or any research concerning these spiders that I should be aware?

The coloration and scythe-like chelicerae is quite impressive not to mention it's temperment towards handling.
