These are a few from my days as a keeper at the Bronx Zoo...fun times and lots of cool stuff to play with.

Invert Holding @ Jungleworld - mostly mantids, butterflies, and a few true bugs and beetles.

01, That means you were there in the Samantha days. Ever get to play with her?

No I didn't unfortunately...but I watched her eat a few times.
So impressive (Samantha the retic)!

It sucks she moved on. I took my wife there a few years ago hoping to show her the beauty and size of an adult retic, only to find out she was gone. My retic never came close to her size.

Awesome, I just went back there a few days ago. I discovered they have a population of Heteropoda running around Jungle World. I wasnt leaving until I cuaght one. I never thought, I'd be leaving the zoo, with a new spider.

They have been running around Jungle World forEVER.
At the end of the day I would always shake out my clothes because it would be freaky when they'd come bolting out.

They make it out of the building in the summer...we used to have to fetch them out of the tram cars...LOL
