everyone remembers the buddy system from elementary school? well my scorps picked it up. i have 3 asian forests (not sure of the exact species, but theyre all the same) and theyre living communially. 2 have taking a liking to eachother, they hide together while the other is left out. i have not sexed them yet but i dont think theyre matured yet, theyre about 2.5". is there any reason why they are together all the time?

I was recently reading about how due to seasonal prey fluctuations, emps young will often stick together to collectively consume prey that is otherwise too big. I won't go into details, but it seems that they are programmed to stay together until the threat of your sibling eating you outweights the benefits of having them around. They have no idea what allows them to make that choice, though. Anyhow, Pandinus sp. (not emps, but can't remember which) have been observed moving in synch with each other.

As for you two, they may just appreciate the same exact conditions, which would explain their choice of activities.

Cheers,
Dave
