The affect of UV light?

I have a friend with reptiles and he has set his G. rosea on a shelf with a UV light above it's kritter keeper. The light is attached to the shelf above and is about 3-4" above the kritter keeper.

When they put the T on this shelf, it became noticably more active. But is the light going to harm the T? Could this extra activity be due to stress from the light?

Any input would be helpful....thanks.

I dont see how it could, as long as he gives the T a place to hide when it wants to . It's no different than sun light, with a benefit, it is full spectrum without the heat..... Does the T have a hide?

Ya, it has a log to hide under, also it has a shallow burrow that it built. I just wasn't sure if the light would have a negative affect on the T.

Stress wise I guess it would depend on the T but as far as physical harm, no should be none at all. Everything needs a little bit of 'sunlight', even humans.
Be even better if the light is on a timer.
