Hi basically i just wanted to know the most accurate way of measuring temps. I currently have an analog thermometer but it seems to be cheaply made. Im looking for something that can give me a reading from the terrarium floor and is digital as i have read they are way more accurate. My current thermometer is pressed right against a wall mounted heat mat and is giving me a reading off about 28-30 but i know that is not the temps of the soil so im just guessing its about right. Im just interested to hear what you guys have to measure the temps in your terrariums and if you could recommend me anything. Thanks in advance.

Etekcity makes an infrared thermometer that would be good for checking growing temps. It only cost around 20 dollars (US) and is available from online retailers.

I like the infrared temperature 'guns' along with a good digital thermometer.
