Tarantulas filling water bowl with substrate

Its pretty common actually...
Im starting to add small dish containers and filing it with Sphagnum moss and just filling the water in there... That way the T' can just suck out the moisture from the moss when they need it

Teeny, tiny, ittsy, bittsy tarantulas do it one grain at a time, but yeah...they pretty much all do it.

Acanthoscurria geniculatas have made it into a sporting event...that they take very seriously.

In my experience, fossorials are the worst with this because of digging...if the dish is in the direction they are kicking dirt (which it somehow always is) ----

Isn't that the same thing as using a sponge?

Guys i think im on a record here i swear one of T's hasnt tampered with her dish in 6 months or close to, and another one in 6 nights
