Awhile back, ANgie posted that her a. brockelhursti had lost its fangs during a bad molt...well, ANgie doesnt have internet access at this time, so she wanted me to update everyone to let you know..the T has finally molted again and has new fangs!
HOORAYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

How does a spider eat without fangs? I cant see one living to another molt without eating.

I may be wrong, but I believe she was making "cricket soup" for this T. In any case, congratulations, I'm so glad to hear that the T is recovered!! ^_^

How did this "cricket soup" work? I couldnt find the post you mentioned, and if it works, the information could prove usefull in the future.

I had a B. Smithi with damaged fangs and it ate dead crix with no trouble. It took a while because it had trouble holding the food. It would drop it and have to pick it up again....poor thing.

The coolest thing about the no fangs thing was watching the T take on live crickets. The T picked up the crix and bashed them against the hide or side of the KK until they died. It took quite some time to do. The Smithi would only do this to the little crix. The big ones were too much to handle I guess.
