I am currently using just straight coco fiber and I was looking to switch to a substrate that holds burrows better, I was looking to use zoo med creature soil, or get organic top soil and just mix it with the coco fiber I already have. any tips on what I should do?

I personally prefer peat and or topsoil or a mix of the two. I would never reccomend premixed substrate just from an functional of cost efficient standpoint. Premade substrates are literally nothing you can’t easily make at home for a fraction of the cost while producing so much more.

I use a mix of topsoil, coco fibre, peat and fine sphag. Seems to work well. From where she is sitting in the photo, the burrow runs along the entire length (14") to the opposite side

unfamiliar with burnt soil. Main thing is making sure there are no toxins / fertilizers etc... in your soils
