Tarantula seemingly bit a plastic tube

I am a first time tarantula owner and I have a beautiful curlyhair who is about 2 years old (I got her at 4 months). Tonight I saw her water dish was empty (the air has been so dry here) and I wanted to make sure to give her some water before I went to bed. When I opened the door to the tank, she ran right over to the dish.
Since she’s skittish, I figured if I got near the dish she would just run under her log like usual, so I got out a tube so I could fill the dish. She lunged at it like she would lunge at a cricket, and I was so startled that I yanked it away without thinking.
Could this have injured her? What should I look out for?

It could have been injured, but not necessarily. How does she seem? I'm assuming you filled the water dish...do you have a food item to offer?

Yes, it is filled now. I don’t have any crickets on hand but I was planning on buying some tomorrow anyway.
She seems okay, she stayed where she was afterward and then when I closed the tank door she went into her hide, which is normal for her.

Oh,she stood her ground immediately after, & didn't retreat? That's a good sign. Was she tending to, or babying anything about herself?

Unless she bounced off something or there's fangs stuck in the tube, you're probably fine.

Pics? What kind of plastic was the tube made of?
This is the tube. It is hard plastic.

Not that I can see. She is acting reclusive today but that’s not out of the ordinary.

If she bit the plastic it’s possible she could have damaged her fang(s). But I’ll take the positive route and say it’s probably fine!

Also this thread is a good example for people to treat all tarantulas as having the ability to be unpredictable and to be treated with respect regardless of New World or Old World!
