Hey everyone. Just now i was checking on my tarantulas and I saw this. Could it be possible that it sealed its burrow for molting? Im excited =)

I forgot to mention. The species is Tliltocatl Kahlenbergi

It doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to molt, but usually that is what happens when they seal up the entrance. No telling when it will re-emerge though, unfortunately.

How moist is your substrate? Make sure it’s damp but not sopping wet. If you squeeze it water shouldn’t really be coming out. Difficult to tell in pictures sometimes.

I agree with @emartinm28 that it looks very wet in your enclosure. Could be just the light, but if the reflection on the substrate is caused by moisture, you should really keep it drier.

I think the reflection is caused by the substrate itself, because when i touch it is dry, not wet nor damp

The mould don't grow in dry environments...

We are still wayting for your answer if the G pulchripes finally molted or it died. I have the feeling that you should check your husbandry knowledge.
