I met my husband on the Internet, but yes, I was properly wary. There are right and wrong ways of meeting Net people. :)

I think this is somewhat safe - and if people act creepy, you can threaten to sick your most vicious tarantula on them. :D

I met my wife on the internet. The first time I met her I stayed all night with her and her husband. LOL.

I think its sad that my community isnt as interesting as a lot of others around. There is really no culture here. Doctors and Lawyers are about all. Nobody collects inverts that I know of. I have interested a friend in keeping scorps and thats about it. I would like to find someone who I can trade with and all that madness.

It's funny, the most surprising people have thought my upcoming acquisition of a tarantula was "cool", so who knows what might be lurking underneath some calm exteriors. Maybe you need to do a demo for the people at work and create your own circle of T friends by spreading the addiction.

P.S. I love your .sig - that would sure get me to shut up! =D Only if you turn them loose, they'll also bite *you*.

My 'pede got (and still rmeains uncaught) out into my house. Whenever my mum gets too cheeky I remind her my lovely centipede is still on the loose. It's got to the point where she thinks I'm jokin, but I'll be the one laughing when I come home to see her crying and sat on the table to hide from it

With that in mind, I need to get myself an Usumbara or something of the sort. I doubt anyone from this bunch would find a Curlyhair or a G. pulchra particularly threatening. ;)

Cool. We should spread the word around. Wouldn't we all like some local T people to play with?

I'd like to attend one of these 'spider parties' people are talking about. :)

Unfortunately I think they send those out the minute anyone signs up. Of course there could be enough people in your area. They could make up the majority of the 17 who signed up.
