So my Grammostola Sp. North has laid an eggsac recently and I just wanted some tips on what I should do to care for the eggsac in terms of humidity and temperature to ensure a better egg count

@EulersK @KezyGLA @cold blood are the most active forum members with quite a bit of breeding experience, so I'll tag them in to see if they've got any ideas for you. Cold blood is even relatively close to you.

Good luck on your sac!

There are a ton of instructional videos on how to make an eggsack incubator. Yesterday I was just doing a quick search, and if you use the search function on here and type in "incubator" you'll get a good few results. Videos are always the easiest for me to follow. I'd check youtube too.

Oh I just remembered, @sdsnybny I believe it was had a tip where you should use a slurry of those water crystal gels instead of straight water because it keeps the sac/eggs from getting splashed. I've never tried it but it sounded smart to me.

Really theres nothing to do quite yet...being such a slow developing sp, youre gonne want to leave it with mom for a good 45 days before its pulled....in the mean time, dampen part of the sub and remove the water dish, you dont want her dunking the sac.

Thanks for the Tag! It worked perfect, never had to worry about them drying out on just a coffee filter or any water sloshing up to the stocking and causing them to mold. Used it twice so far and out of a 140+ versi sac only one didn't make it to 2i. Out of 450+ pumpkin patch EWLs all of them made it to 2i successfully.

Youre welcome anytime Buddy!
