T tank decor

I am getting an african or asian species of tarantula soon (most likely one that doesn't burrow as much as the others) and I'm pondering the decor of the tank. For my scorpions, I have a section of log, cut in half for the scorps to crawl under. I've seen people use the same for T's, but they put it at an angle into the substrate so that it is more like a lair. I was wondering are there any alternatives to this?

I fyou get an arboreal spider try putting branches all over the palce through the tank. My A Avicularia has a bunch of branches all over in her enclosure and she has made the coolest web retreats. I cant wait till my H Maculata is large enough to start making cool habitats.
