I just caught my G. Pulchripes sling with substrate in its mouth heading to its water dish and then dropped it right there, does this mean it wants its substrate a little dump? Should I just wet one side of it a little bit rather than putting water dish?

They normally do that;) You can just give it a fresh dish after it's finished moving around all the dirt, as it might just get covered again.

I’ve had T’s do this, completely normal. Just pull the dish out, clean it and refill the water. It just means your T is excavating and that’s where it wants to dump the sub. Some even drop their food waste or poop in the water dish....I’ve not had those types of fun times, knock on wood.
