T.blondi colour

Hi

It's been I think almost 2 weeks maybe since my T.blondi molted. Is it in it's full colour now or is it going to change? So far, it looks like it has settled into its new skin (excluding the scab on his abdomen) but its colour is different compared to other T.blondis (makes me wonder if it was labeled right.You know how pet stores always screw up). My T.blondi is really dark blue, almost black, with red hairs on the abdomen and several red stripes all over its legs. When it just got out of its molt, it was a light blue. As the days have gone by, it just has been getting darker and darker and darker and now it's practically black. So will this be its permanent colour? No digital camera at the moment.

they are blackish after a molt, then in a few weeks (longer time for larger blondi's) they will turn back to their brown colour. They dont stay black permanently (unfortunately, since I think they look great black).

I'm not sure about that one. Mine is about a year and a half old, and is around 6 inches. It is a dark brown, with reddish hairs on the legs and abdomen. I've seen a couple of pictures of adults that were a darker brown, and then some that were so light, they were almost a tan/orange.

I agree. The dark colour form looks way better then the brown. But, when I did a quick search on Google Images for colour morphs of T.blondi, there were T.blondis that were all black?

There are varying degrees of brown, some are darker brown, some are very light brown, but ultimately its all just shades of brown with them being almost black after a molt.

At least thats what Ive found from both personal experience and other's blondis.

oooooooo man, can you imagine if a T.blondi could have the same colour as a P.metallica? That'd be sweet!

My T blondi bascially changed color with each molt. Orangish, light brown, dark brown, chocolate with rosey/purple highlights....that one I liked the best lol.

What do you mean by scab?

I have a blondi too that has been jet black since its last moult a 2 months ago. Mine also has a "scab" on its abdomen since that nobody could identify.

Would be great if you could get some pics posted here?
