I'm stickin' with my guess:
Citharacanthus for the genus.
Species: ? perhaps longipes, or even livingstoni

Hard to tell from the photo, but there is a possibility it is the new SE Paraguayan Acanthoscurria sp. being sold in error right now in Europe as Vitalius roseus. I've got one and it looks very similar.

Doing fine so far. It is very small... about the size of a quarter. She's burrowed out an area beneath her terra cotta pot and placed it under there. She either stands directly over it or in the opening of the burrow.

O.k. I missed the original posting. It is Citharacanthus l. niger most likely. Those were first offered in 2001 out of Europe as CB spiderlings though and mine are now only 2.5" juvs. Seems fishy to me that you have a mated adult female. These are NOT available as adults as they are from Cuba.

Back to square one then. I'll go with the Acanthoscurria sp. from SE Paraguay.

The biggest problem is where you got it from. Lots of ID mistakes originating from that source. I hear about it from hobbyists every week of the wrong IDs and not knowing what they are selling.

Rule 1 and 2 in purchasing tarantulas.

#1 Only buy from a source that lists the scientific name.

#2 Make sure this person or company can at least give you a 2 or more minutes detailed conversation that tells you everything you need to know about this animal and why it is the scientific name that it is.

- If they can't do this, don't buy from them - period.

That seems to be the consensus... now we'll see if the eggsack is fertile.
