I am looking to get a new tarantula...my last one was a Cobalt Blue and i had him for about 6 months before i sold him. He was beautiful but it just wasn't a right fit. I have experience with tarantulas but i'm looking to get a friendlier more outgoing t this time. any suggestions?

G.aureostriata. Big, beautiful, showy, friendly...yadda,yadda. Easy to obtain and easy to keep. Also - ours have outstanding "personality"...even-steven with the rosies. Good luck!:)

If by outgoing you mean always visible, then I'd go with Lasiodora parahybana or Acanthoscurria geniculata. Both get large, and are semi-defensive(no where near as defensive as H.lividum though). The genic is much more beautiful though. Can't go wrong with either choice.

No such thing. ;)

If you want a T that will put up with you, I suggest checking the Beginner Info sticky thread at the top of this very forum, which contains tons of links and threads discussing various good species.
