I made a paludarium, but I'm not sure what I want to put in it.
I'm hoping for something that will favor the water area since the land area will be cluttered with plants.
The water area is 11 x 31 x 9 inches, about 13 gallons.

I'm not really familiar with amphibians, would my setup be suitable for anything?

Busgett's frog, but you'd have to take it out for a large fraction of the year. You've also got your standard African clawed frogs and dwarf clawed frogs. I think it's a bit small for the following salamanders, but you can look around and decide that for yourself. I've starred those that I think are your best bets. caudata.org is a great resource for salamander care.
  • Genus Pseudotriton
  • Eastern newt*
  • Alpine newt
  • Genus Tylototriton*
  • Genus Cynops*
  • Genus Triturus
  • Genus Pachytriton
  • Genus Taricha
  • Genus Neurergus
  • Ribbed Newt*

Aquatic newts. I’m partial to alpine newts.

But you must have a secure screen lid. They will climb out of small openings.
