yeah, the thicker the glass (better than plexi imo) the easier every thing comes together, it all lines up more square. you should try to use the clamps that cabinet makers use to assemble but joints, i forget what the're called but should be easy to find.I have glass terrariums. They are 6mm thick. You could make 4 mm thick, but 6mm is easier to put together. Its main and only disadvantage is that they are heavier. My arboreal enclosures are 25 L (5,5 gallon).
The other thing is, that glass is much much cheaper and much better than plexiglass in my country. The plexi is matt and it gets yellow after some time!:barf:

Yes. American made acrylic won't turn yellow, which cannot be said of acrylic outside the US. Make sure you are buying Acrylic and NOT polycarbonate...which you may have already checked. I thought I'd throw it out there just in case. The other thing is, that glass is much much cheaper and much better than plexiglass in my country. It will yellow with time, which acrylic will not. YES, there are products out there that will remove this yellowing, but, it's better to not have to deal with it...right?What's wrong with polycarbonate?
