Awesome shots! Especially the ones with the two avic sp. side by side.

Seems like they were comparing their egg sacs.
A. versi mom said: "Hey you, check it out.... My sac is bigger than your sac!"
A. avic mom replied: "Oh yeah??? Well, so is your bum!!! I believe in quality, not quantity...."

On a more serious note: Looking great! Lots of luck on both of the precious cargo, Ryan! You're the Lord of successful T. keeping and breeding (and photography, too!) :worship:

My females were all about 2-2.5" and very receptive. Once of the females is slowly working on a tube that looks like it is going to be her egg sac chamber. :) Plus I sent my male out and he has done the deed with three females. {D
Thanks for the info, Ryan!
I'm getting the female next week, so excited!
Are there any special tricks to getting sacs from this sp? Cooldown temps etc.

I would love to get a picture like that of my versi mom w/sac. How would I go about doing it? I assume you take the pictures and then take the sac way?

Ha I feel the same way..My soon to be mom made it a four hour drive home to B.C from Alberta in the winter on bad roads and didnt even munch her sack
I really hope this is'nt taken wrong cause its not meant to make fun but I dont think the spider knew it was winter and I am sure it didnt know the roads were bad. Thats pretty funny. I catch myself doing the same thing some times.

im sure with any abrupt temperature changes and horrid vibrations the stress would induce the tarantula to eat the sac.. That is what he meant...

I know. Like I said I am not trying to make fun. I just think its funny how we all try to humanize our pets and think they percieve things as we do.

Thank you very much! To bad the minitrix mommy waited a few months later to drop. It would have been awesome to get all three together.
