Yep, just make sure its dry.

Coco fiber, eco earth, jungle mix, top soil, or peat moss are all acceptable substrates...the choice is yours.

Yes coco fiber is just fine. Keep the substrate dry and only overflow the water dish every now and then. The Grammastola rosea and porteri species like it dry.
