Whilst feeding my subspinipes this evening, i noticed that if more than one locust was put in at a time, the centipede would casually trap the one it wasn't feeding on under its legs, finish it's meal and then turn it's attention to the one under it's legs. Has anyone else observed this behaviour? It made me laugh so much when i first saw it, the way it caught it's food without even looking. Definitely the king of the invertebrate predators :D

They will also sometimes grab the prey with the last pair of legs (the "tail") and flip it to the head to be dispatched. This ability makes them very tricky to wrangle!
