Strange situation

I have an h mac that is very active. it was all over the cage earlier and now it looks like a death curl but is still barely responsive. it's in an icu at the moment. I've only had it for a month b/c i bought it at 4". has this happened to anyone else? what should i do?

1. Is it a mature male
2. Where did you get it from
3. What are you feeding it, and is it gut loaded
4. What are you keeping it on as far as substrate
5. Does it have a water dish at all times

got it online from a dealer with a reputable website
I'm feeding it gut loaded crix but it only ate once in three weeks
Moist paper towels now that it's in an icu
always has a water dish and moist shaved coconut husk (ecoearth) as a substrate when it was in it's ten gallon

has not moved in the icu for four hours. should i pronounce it dead?:8o :8o :8o

at this point, I would attempt to touch it lightly perhaps with a soft paint brush. See if it responds at all. Then you can figure out what to do from there.

sorry to hear man.i had a small maculata also die for no apparent reason.i know its easy to get attached to your t's but at the end of the day there spiders and sometimes die for no reason.i dunno if the gutloading may have effected your spiders health but u may want to not use that anymore could contain chemicals and other things

don't think it was wild caught.

i'm already looking for another h mac.

i havn't had any trouble with that gut load cricket food before.

IME H. maculata is extremely sensitive to disturbance, and light. My first starved itself, and went bald, until I moved it into a closet.
Not to say that was your problem, but it's something to chew on.

Is it still in an icu or have you done something different with it? I personally wait until they start smelling. I have no idea what could have happened, i am sorry though. :(
