Strange CL ad

Very RARELY are there ever any arachnids on our local craigslist, but i check anyway on a regular basis. I found this one today and it made me laugh, just seemed random and out of place for our area.

Looking for a specific jumping spider for scientific study. It's found in sunny, open overgrown fields, on cactus plants, woody shrubs and dog fennel plants in scrub habitat. It looks like the pics in the following link:

that's cool

sometimes scientist types will put up ads like that when they are having trouble finding the animals they are trying to study

of course, it could also just be a hobbyist looking to flip the spiders to a dealer or sell them on boards or something



i could think of TONS of fun things to study about jumpers, though :)

Doesn't surprise me too much but it is funny. Jumpers do have some very interesting mating habits. I watched my male P.audax try to woo a female. So cute! {D

I should post a CL for Paraphidippus. I've been looking all over for some of those! :drool:
