It looks like the "Stink horn" had opened, was the odor very strong to you?Brisbane Botanic Gardens, just a bus ride away from my apartment.
Where was it found? Local field guide is a good place to start
Gotcha, to clarify, I meant general region in US which might help narrow it downFound in white rotting wood.
But just think how awesome it would be if there were a fungus with a fruiting body that looked like a giant lizard.
