We only found out that this mare was in foal in December. She had jumped into the stallion's pasture early last April, and everyone pretty much just hoped that nothing had happened. Well, it did! She was born around 5 this morning - she's a bay Appendix Quarter Horse filly. She's cute as can be and absolutely healthy. I do not own the mare, she just boards at the same place where I keep my horse.
Mare's owner, Heather, seeing the new filly for the first time.
My horse totally doesn't understand what the fuss is about. She could care less about the baby.
