The spider that I asked for ID help with the other day just laid a sac yesterday. I don't want anymore of these and she has become super defensive now. What should I do with the sac...just remove it with tongs and flush it. I use to not like spiders and wouldn't have thought twice about it..but now since I have completely changed my mind about spiders I am going to feel pretty bad about doing this. I guess I could take the whole jar and put it somewhere outside lid open but then again its raining pretty bad.

i think i have some bad news and some worse news for you....

bad news: she will probably always be super defensive guarding sacs

worse news: she is so well fed, depending how many sacs she has already produced she could kick up to ten more, maybe... more than half of which would be some percentage viable babies

i have flushed almost countless comb-foot/widow sacs... they are so fecund you really don't need to feel bad :)

Thanks. not really bad news or anything. I just kind of liked her when I caught her to show my son... I kept her for some strange reason but I guess I could just let her go.
