Spider identification.

Hi guys, i have a cute little indoor spider. It has a large abdomen, white markings and a greyish-brownish colour.

Photos are taken with both flash and no flash.

Focus Panda! Focus!! Not a good enough pic. Is the web an orb? Abdomen vaguely resembles an orb weaver. Need better, focused pic.

I did attempt to gently poke it to have it move into a position for clearer photo\'s, but as soon as i bothered with its web, it jumped down and immediately played dead (curling itself into a ball). I took this opportunity to rehome it outside (and took some more photo's as it moved.) it is a non-aggressive spider, and plays dead if bothered.

It looks like a young spider. It\'s about the size of a childs pinky fingernail. Approx half a cm. I thought it may be a garden orb weaver, but it doesn\'t seem to match the characteristics. For one, it's located indoors in normal light... on the side of my wall. (garden obs are known to be outdoors?) it also has a simple web unlike some of the webs gardens orbs make.

That's looking vaguely Steatoda. Tangled messy web?

The description and images point to it being in the Theridiidae family. I have native ones in my basement all the time here.
