Spider ident

Okay a friend of mine found this in his greenhouse. Normally he is afraid of spiders and kills them but, because of the colouration on this one, he decided to let it live.
the following picture is the only one he sent me.

he wants to know what species of spider it is and if it's "local". he lives in the greater toronto area but his greenhouse is for his "exotic" plants.

it isn't very good, but i think i recognize it from my backyard. common name is something along the lines of "green orchid spider", and no clue of scientific name. BRB:

and now i must appologise even further, since all google comes up with is a turd-load of botany sites.

Try Orchard spider (Leucauge venusta). A completely wild guess since the pic is quite distant but I guess it's possible that's what it is.
