Anyone have an idea on this little spider? Its about a 1/2 long.

It's not a trapdoor; definitely a true spider. Maybe an Amaurobiid. What was it's habitat, and what was its web like?

It was not found in a web, it was found crawling across the floor. As for habitat its native to CT i think, unless it came in some fruit or something.

that's definatley an adolescent true Trap Door.. i think it may even be an Ideopedes spp. I'm not sure though...

That is definately 'not' a juvie trap door
and it isn't a hobo spider
hobo spiders usually make a flat weband hide in a corner they also like it cool
the spider in the picture we have here in Mi. I find them under very damp logs or boards with some fungus on it. the web is very weak looks to be like a cribelate type web.
I have to dig up a book for the name
