Hello!!

I saved this guy from a wasp attack while hunting wolf spiders in Lorgues, south of France.

I came just at the right moment before he got stung.

Please help me ID this spider because it obviously isn't a wolf spider and it has all markings of primitive spiders like fang orientation and eye arrangement.
Body size is around 20mm and I still haven't measured lega span.

Thank you guys!

It really looks like a tarantula but I just can't find anything similar on images from Google...

Hm.. Looks like this is going to be a long and interesting search...

I will post more images as soon as I get it home in a nice terrarium...

After checking the pictures it really is Nemesia sp. !! I went to the place where I caught the guy and I found many more in holes in the ground!!

They are extremely aggressive.

The spider is returned to nature.

Thank You Tarantula_Hawk!!

Agree, it's interesting news to me that there are Nemesiidae in France. I know of N iberesia in Spain & Portugal but didn't think Europe had any others.

Little question, it is breedable ? Or is it forbidden ?
