I need to know what kind of spider this is! She makes a web and has a little opening in it and when bugs walk into the the little trap (I'll show you the photo) she pulls it in!

awww what a beautiful girl! your description reminds me so much of my sweetie, an Ariadna bicolor, but she seems to be an Amaurobius ferox. What a pretty lady! Are you going to release any of the babies outside? I presume you found her in your area. My ariadna also gave me babies, some of which i still have!

I'm not sure if I can set them free or not because I actually caught during my visit to Texas and brought her back to Pennsylvania I'm not sure if they can live in the cold environment here! What are your thoughts? And thanks!
