last week I was in Mobile AL. and I caught a spider on a vertical web.
I'll try to post some pics soon. (if noone can ID it)
it's black, with almost a black widow like shape, and even red on the botom of the abdoman, only it's like a sideways hourglass. then on the reverse side, it has silver and white and a red dot just above the spinerettes. the thorax is a dark green I think.
I need help to keep it alive. it's abdoman is getting smaller.
it got out of the critter keeper and was lost for a few days, then I found it like right above my computer desk. it has made a horrible web, and I've tried to put small insects in it but there isn't any sticky too it. I've gotten too tangled in it, but it seems to not notice at all.
