It’s a MM Araneidae sp.

Care info is as follows: return it to the wild so it can reproduce.

I agree with NYAN. It's a mature male orb-weaver and it's mating season, so he is on his quest to find a female to mate. It's not a spider that should be kept as a pet in my opinion. They are typical outdoor spiders, you will be doing him a favour by releasing him in the wild. :)

Family: Araneidae Genus: Most probably an Araneus sp. Common garden spiders.

I thought it looked odd to find indoors. I will release it tomorrow away from the building.

I am sure he appreciated the free meal he got and he definitely has a better chance at finding a mate outside rather than in the building's stairwell where he would have probably been squished. (I had a little container already made up with some cocoa fiber, bark ect that he spent the night in. The vial was just what I used to capture him)
