Something wrong with Damon diadema?

Hello all!

Just today I purchased a beautiful Damon diadema from a local pet store.

A few hours after I returned home, I noticed he had a spot on his abdomen. I took him out, inspected it more closely and took some pictures. He seems to not want to move, but will run when i really provoke him (and is still quick!)
http://imgur.com/a/0QJiN here are pictures of the growth. It looks like a tumor. You can see it on our left side, under the abdomen. Its a lighter color, very round.

What is this, anyone know?

Thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure about the sex, it would be nice if it were a female. =) I tried looking under her stomach, and the spot is jutting out from the side and not the underneath. Her belly is totally flat. I brightened up the photos and put some arrows, hopefully it'll make it more clear. =( http://imgur.com/a/cArJX

The photo shows the texture right - its completely smooth, like a sac, and lighter than the rest of her skin.

Damon diadema are pretty easy to sex once they're mature. Just compare the length of the pedipalps to the length of the first pair of walking legs. If the "elbows" of the pedipalps extend well past the "knees" of the first pair of walking legs, then it's a male. If they are roughly the same length, you've got yourself a female. Here's an example of a male (on the right) and female (on the left): http://media.gettyimages.com/photos...-whip-scorpions-picture-id145098797?s=170667a

Ahhh that picture is very helpful. =) The limbs do seem a tad shorter than what I thought.

As for the mystery bump, here's another picture: http://imgur.com/xxPetKP Hopefully someone can identify what's going on!

This link says it might be some kind of fluid buildup linked to a fall, and that often bumps later end up as open wounds (it's about tarantulas, but I feel like the concept still applies).

Sadly, they didn't have any kind of solution, but it might be a good place to start. Is it possible she had a bad fall? Otherwise it might be some other kind of disease. That sort of bump is definitely not normal and definitely not caused by being gravid.
Hopefully she'll turn out fine in the end.

That makes sense. The shop I got her from said they just received them from shipping recently, and technically they weren't for sale yet since they hadn't molted since they got there. (but the guy said she looked good enough to go home). I'm assuming its either an injury that happened during shipping or shortly after she got there, as shes been fine with me. Jeez. I'll do some research about the fluid buildup and molting... hoping she can heal herself. I'll keep some superglue on hand just in case it pops, i suppose. =/ You've been really helpful, this will definitely help me find some answers!

Edit: I'm reading suggestions that putting iodine on the cyst can help it shrink and alleviate some pressure ( from here: http://www.tarantulasus.com/archive/index.php/t-3421.html ) would anyone NOT recommend this?

I know nothing about iodine, but as a glue to keep on hand I suggest krazy glue, just because I know it's non toxic
