At first,I'm not supposed to keep any pets because my family don't like them at all.But last summer I bought a B.albopilosum without permission. When my mom knew that, she said no words to me.I thought I had made her let me keep some pets that don't need too much time to care for.

Then I bought several tarantulas, such as AV.minatrix,L.difficilis and so on.Last month,my first t died because molting. Now I have 12 ts,they are AV.minatrix,L.difficilis,B.angustum,B.auratum,B.smithi.My mom has fallen in love with these beautiful spiders. Thanks to my mom's support,I won't stop collecting tarantulas! My goal is a female P.metallica or a Monocentropus balfouri, after all,a female P.metallica or a Monocentropus balfouri is very expensive for a student in China.

BTW,I found some differences between Chinese keepers and American keepers.1.We are used to using a plastic box t,but foreign keepers often use a nice box to keep them, how do you get such a nice PMMA box.2.Some Chinese keepers usually play t on hands, but I thought that's dangerous for both people and t.I never do that!
My English isn't well,so I can't express all my thoughts,sorry.
In a word,I love tarantulas forever!

There is my AV.minatrix.:D

Beautiful T you have there :) And I think you expressed yourself very well. As far as the differences in keepers, I also use plastic tubs for mine. I'm going to upgrade to a nice acrylic box of my next one though. Not sure it the guys that advertise them on this forum ship internationally but you can always ask.

Thx for your reply.Another problem is that we usually think AVs is difficult to keep, especially AV.versicolor.But it is one of the most colorful t so that every keepers want to have one.Unluckily,AVs always die with no reason.Am I supposed to have a AV.versicolor or a AV.fasciculata?

You're not "supposed" to have any species. There's no requirements of "you must own THIS specific species if you want to be in the hobby". Just collect whatever species you are interested in.

My first T was an A. versicolor sling. Had her for a little over a month now. She has molted and so far I have had no issues. I would not let the fact the they sometimes die for no reason stop you from owning one. They all dont die and are such beautiful and docile Ts that you should at least give one a shot if you like them.
