Liphistius sp.
2.5-3" i guess. should be an adult. i put it in a tank yesterday, so i'm waiting to see the signature burrow they make now.great pictures man.how big is that Liphistius sp. ?
this is Cyclocosmia ricketti. yes, as well as having a trapdoor to camo the burrow, they can seal the burrow using the abdomen. that flat part of the abdomen is a hard armour.yeah jt these spiders will use there plug shaped abdomen as a defense mechanism to keep intruders out of there burrows.not sure if its the same species as this one but Cyclocosmia truncata is found in georgia ,tennessee and alabama.would love to find some of those
