What are some important factors to consider about Solifugid other then they're life span? I know I should have a tall cage that is wide because Solifugids tend to rome a lot according to a Solifugid website.
Why would it need to be tall? Like the previous poster said, keep it like a terrestrial T, or just like a scorpion. Floor space is way more important than height. Infact the shorter the better.Geography Guy said:What are some important factors to consider about Solifugid other then they're life span? Why do I get the sinking feeling you were given the wrong information?Geography Guy said:I know I don't need one I just prefer even if its an burrowing or Terrestrial animal that if its aggressive to have a tall cage. I was told that these things are very aggressive and wild animals and that last thing I want is a Solifugid on the loose.
All of the solifugids I have caught were able to climb glass or plastic. The number one leg on the left and right side has a special pad for climbing smooth surfaces. But the thing is its only on their first leg which is why I would reccomend a short tank. Once they go up they have nowhere to go and they can't climb down, they usually always fall. Usually without hurting themselves because they are so light. But why take the chancedirtborder4life said:As long as the enclosure is slightly taller that the solfugid is long, you dont have to worry about escapes-they cant climb glass
