Hey now. Price sometimes doesn't matter {D I know I paid $100 dollars for a "bairds rat snake" even though it was just a calico morph of an Elaphe sp. I liked his personality.

That is most definitely a Savu Python. It couldn't be anything else.

It will eventually mature to lose all of its orange and have bright white eyes. Very beautiful snakes, and very good pets. I love this specie, so I congratulate you on your new pet, even though it is not a blood. Still, it is a wonderful snake to have!

Yep, that's a Savu. They're not cheap snakes, by any means, and a nice-looking adult will cost about the same as a young Blood Python, of normal coloration, of course. I prefer Savus as pets myself; they don't get large at all(this one could get a tad larger, but not much-they tend to be Corn Snake-sized) and they have really nice dispositions. They can also tolerate cooler temps than a lot of Python species, and as I'm sure you've discovered, their skin feels wonderful!
