It's a nice plastic box with clip on sides and all that. I'll post pictures later. I added the holes in the top and then put aquarium gravel down and some other stuff (a few oak leaves and a stick to climb on) -- they seem happy enough.

This morning I got up, went to the roach tank and no roaches. After a moment of panicing, I picked up one of the three toilet paper tubes I left in there. All EIGHT of them were crowded in one tube.

Is this normal? I thought they'd be in happier condition with the extra space, but they're all still crowding together.

Most species of roaches love to crowd together. They will move to a spot alone to molt, mate and give birth but all other times they spend time together, thus the term "colony".

I have hissers. *smiles* Eight of em.

And they're still spending all their time (that I can see) in a toilet papaer tube.

At least it's a good hiding spot.
