actually its dirt specs on my finger but the garter did give me a few marks on my other hand. hes a nasty little guy

Great snakes! I just got a candy cane corn snake a couple days ago, and she's lots of fun. I'm buying pinkies tomorrow.

I grew up in eastern Oregon, and we had lots of garter snakes. They sure stink when you upset them! I caught one once that started whipping like mad and sprayed poop all over my hands in the process. I had to use my sister's girly-smelling hand lotion to get rid of the smell.

ya my garter has only done it once, but ive got him to be pretty tame now after some handling and he hasnt used his musk or bite me since i got him
