Most of the Centruroides stay small but some are known to have strong venom.

2-4 in max. With mild venom hpfully can be kept socialy as well

C. gracilis. Won't get bigger than 4 inches, though most are around 3.5ish. They're my favorite bark scorps. Very communal, are out a lot, look great, and aren't very dangerous.

!!!!!!!!!Just make sure the ones you get are Florida bark scorps. There is reason to believe that those from S. America have very powerful venom!!!!!!
