Employees gave it a tiny cut from putting it in a deli Cup , that’s corn starch.I notice white substance on Legs and Carapace.
ok I keep substrate dry does this species need occasional overflow of water dish ? I just don’t want it to end up like this t of mine that was sold to me minus ability to eat /drink.Just keep feeding- wouldn’t worry yet

It’s possible it’s just an unusually skinny one. It doesn’t appear to be unhealthy. Like the one female I linked above . It couldn’t put on any Weight either. Maybe I’ll try mealworms . powerfeed isn’t something I do anyways.Employees hurt the tarantula, thats so uncool.
I think it will keep putting on weight. It looks normal. Don’t overthink it and worry too much for the moment. They are slow at everything. I don’t think youll have to “powerfeed” it either. Let it take its time and just enjoy it.
Yeah way to go broke $100 I could had ordered something online like a few lp.I'm glad you rescued it from the pet store.
seems like they weren't treating A.Chalcodes very well.
That would be my assumption at this point. It’s on the thin side, but not scary skinny, so I’d watch for a bit to make sure it’s not getting smaller.O well it’s possible it recently molted??
you cannot tell if a t is wild caught just by looking at it.Def looks wild caught
yep.you cannot tell if a t is wild caught just by looking at it.
True as a definitive statement, but there are several indicators suggesting that to be the case. Chalcodes rarely get sold as adults that aren’t wild caught, especially at pet stores. The condition of the spider is also a give away. Obviously can’t be certain, but if it’s something that is mostly wc in the hobby, it’s usually labelled cb if that’s the caseyou cannot tell if a t is wild caught just by looking at it.
Yeah I’m just going to save up and order online next time , sick of these con artists who won’t give receipts or own up to their own mistakes. Don’t know if it could end up female or not but it looks male never know , I’d be happy if it survives to its next molt regardless..:: how did I hurt the spider when it was bleeding before I opened the container.True as a definitive statement, but there are several indicators suggesting that to be the case.
