Singapore blues

Since my two 1" blues made their burrows I haven't seen them since. tonight I used a flashlight to see into one of their burrows and he was close to the top of the burrow but not really at the door of the burrow. so I dropped a cricket in and if its not gone by the the same tomorrow i'm going to take it out. So here is my question:

If these guys NEVER come out of their burrow how do I know if they are hungry? well as of tonight they both have a cricket in their enclosures so we'll see what happens.

You pretty much answered your own question. All you can do is offer food every now and then and remove it if its not eaten in a reasonable amount of time.
