Hi Guys and Gals,

I am thinking of getting a Lampropelma Violaceopes sling.

Can anyone tell if it is only the females which have the blue colouring.
And generally what can I expect to pay for a sling, juvenile or adult? (can you put your local currency beside any replies).

Cheers

Their blue as juvies and sub adults but once matured, only females are blue, males turn olive green. I see a lot here in the philippines selling for 1500pesos around 2-5cm. Hope that helps. :D

Singblue

Hey there, I think I have answers yo all your questions.

Males are green when they mature, until then both look alike. Females get the super blue coloration when bigger. Ive got. As sling(2.5" ls) for 24.99 pounds in my local pet shop in leeds. Generaly you should get obe cheaper from private dealer. Ive read that female to male ratio is 1:5 but im not sure how much truth there is in that:) mine looks like female from ventral sexing- so fingers crossed.

Regards Deivis
