So over a week ago I received my first ornamental T, I was so happy after hearing so much about them! And how beautiful they are I just love observing them! After pre paring with a catch cup in the bath she surprisingly slowly walked out the container she was packed in she actually walked across my hand! Been maintaining her ever since but she's refused food and hasn't moved much past few days she's been odd doesn't have much strength and can't lift her front legs properly, since she's been hiding in the tub she's curled up and has a little dot of yellow is fluid on her joint, any one have any experience as she's in a bit of a death curl

Post pics of the entire enclosure. And read the bite reports for Poecilotheria.

But you still let it walk on your hand?

Regardless, cage looks fine. She looks fine in that picture too.. in assuming that's old?
I'd gently prod her, if she doesn't really move, then I'd remove her and place her carapcr in her water dish. Then hope for the best.

She's not in premolt right?

Yeah I did indeed, of course! Not like it'll stress her out if I was already edging her in that direction, don't really want to prod her, as she has moved when she gets disturbed but very small movements. Unsure but according to a few people the way she was moving and being is more a sign off a illness so just unsure what to do

Which is the most recent picture of her the first one you posted or the second one?

Also are you using any heat pads, lamps tapes?

She looks almost dead in the first picture. @14pokies the dot of fluid if you zoom in-- could it be a mite or parasite of some sort? Tarantulas don't excrete anything yellow in color that I'm aware of.

Just making sure you were educated in them. ;)
Yeah, I'd take her out and put her mouth parts in her water dish. Not hopeful however.

Of course! Don't want to be uneducated with the pokies! That might stress her out even more though

I see something yellow for sure on her tibia.. But as you know I'm blind as a bat.. On top of that I have slept 6 hrs in the last 48.. I can't make out a damn thing. Lol

Seems to be a dot of fluid, same dot has been there all day, it hasn't got any bigger or moved for a matter of fact

Better stressed than dead. She's definitely bleeding from her leg there.. which isn't a big deal in itself, but maybe she's cut on her abdomen too?

there wasn't anything noticeable when I put her by her water dish the first time that just appeared randomly after I found her in her hide

I did get told that they do sometimes in pre molt
I have seen large stirmi and P.muts with leaky leg joints but never a pokie. The fluid is usually clear..

Good...Bright light's and Tarantulas don't mix for long periods.. What are your temps like?

I would deffinately think about picking that hide up off of her ( looks like she is curled on the sub) and move her to her water dish..

Before I did that I would call the seller and ask when she molted last.. You really don't want to be bugging her if she is just In premolt..

My ornata is doing the same thing as your regalis right now( but minus the curl that's not good) she is sluggish, lethargic uncoordinated she's in heavy premolt I know this for fact.

The reason your regalis maybe curling/ scrunched like that is because the hide is so narrow.. That could be making us all worry over nothing..
