so i have a 3/4 inch b.vagans sling and i feed it pre killed. i tried introducing some live small cricket and he jumped at it when it entered its burrow but unfortunately missed and it got away. after that i took cricket out and waited 2 hours i just put the cricket back in a noticed the t is buried in dirt in his burrow. What should i do?? currently the cricket has been in there for only a few minuets.

Just crush its head and out it back in. Prekilled is the best, easiest, and fastest way to feed young spiders.

OK, I did that. How long until my sling doesnt sit in his burrow with his bum facing the entrance? When can i start with some live prey?

Ask the spider when it will move. lol. Your T will move out of its burrow when it feels like it, probably after you've left it alone for awhile.

You can feed live prey at any size as long as the feeder is the appropriate size. I have a 1/4" (maybe smaller) H. Sp. Columbia that I have fed live newly hatched B. lateralis. Prekilled prey will probably be easiest for you until the T gets a bit bigger, though. Prekilled is also safer for slings when you feed crickets. Crickets can bite, and can threaten a molting sling if left in the container.

I fed live to my approximately 1/8" H. sp. Columbia Large. Granted this locality probably the best attacker out there for a T

Ts are more active at night. I'd leave the dead/crippled cricket in overnight and remove in the morning if rejected and T is still burrowed. You can always try to feed another day. Or perhaps your guy is pre-moult.
